A journey of 1,000 miles began with a single kit.
Now you can own a piece of the Heathkit story.
Here's the instant replay. In 2015, we introduced our next Heathkit Jr™ kit -- our first full-scale kit in 30 years -- the Heathkit GR-150 Explorer Jr™ AM broadcast receiver.
(Heathkit Jr™ kits are introductory Heathkit® kits. They let you build true working electronics using discrete components, assembled using beginner-friendly screw hardware.)
History repeats itself. The GR-152 Explorer AM™ radio kit followed quickly. The circuit is identical, but it is a solder kit, even introducing a couple modern "surface mount" components. Both kits require no prior electronics building experience.
Are you an Explorer? TM
Wear your accomplishment proudly.
Help us celebrate. The 2015 Heathkit® Explorer™ radio kits are honored in this white-on-gray t-shirt.
The retro-historic script Heathkit® logo is on the front, and the Explorer™ circuit diagram is across the back.
We will design annual commemorative memorabilia each year. Start your collection today.
Wear a piece of history. Of the highest quality. One fine shirt. We are serious about quality. So this is a serious t-shirt. We start with a thick 6oz-weight Hanes Beefy-T. It's factory-dyed, crisply-printed, and tagless for comfort.
Tells the whole truth. The full schematic circuit diagram of the Explorer™ radios is printed on the back. Since it's an Explorer™, it says "I'm an Explorer.™" Because like you, it is.
Goes with anything. The shirt is smoke gray. All text and graphics are white. You can wear it tastefully under another shirt, and no one will even know that you're an incognito electronics expert. (...Until you step into a phone booth, remove your Clark Kent glasses, and...)
Made to last. Worth owning. Wear your accomplishment proudly.
